The winner is: HiGeen.
This ad is one of most bizarre I’ve ever seen..
HiGeen is a pretty big brand. You can find it every supermarket and pharmacy. This is not a product from a little mom and pop operation under the staircase.
But is this ad for real? Why is Clark Kent reading Hürriyet, the Turkish daily newspaper (the headline, in Arabic, says “Bird Flu”. And since when does this newspaper publish an Arabic/French edition.
And what a nice strategy: HiGeen is the answer to the bird flu scare. Yeah right!
How such ads get put together and approved is beyond my comprehension!
And the runner-up is..
Livebox. Only from Orange. Huh?
Ok. I sort of know what Livebox is (it’s a VoIP/Internet thing). But what is point of this ad?
The product looks like a folder. What the hell does it do? What does it cost.
Considering that my Orange’s 2 Mbit connection home wasn’t that good over the past few weeks and considering they still have a download cap and that they still don’t have a 4 Mbit connection, I see this ad as a pure waste of money.
What a shame..

well the purpose of this ads is to “gain attention” to the products
it doesn’t matter if its stupid or not,
actually they might make them look stupid so we notice, its a strategy
thx for the share
loool at the Hürriyet, hahaaaaaaa!
btw, man , switch to VSAT, 4 MBPS unlimited bandwidth with less costs (except for the installation stuff, which cost around 300 JD at the beginning for the special satellite modem and LNB and stuff).
& btw, they can provide you with more speed upon demand! how good is that!
“they might make them look stupid so we notice, its a strategy”..
Now that is funny.
I doubt it.
Can anyone translate the French on that paper?
Just gets funnier! LMAO!! The French HL reads: We are not puppets of information!
Moneky you are joking!!
Unbelievable. This ad is a media culture treasure. It’s and ad about a hand sanitizer, in a Jordanian newspaper, featuring a Clark Kent lookalike holding a Turkish newspaper, in its non-existent Arabic-French edition, with a headline warning people of the bird flu (in Arabic) yet telling them not to be puppets of the media in French.
NO WAY!
true Humaid, i was gonna say that
