If you’re curious what ATV has in store for its viewers, well, now can actually watch a selection of the channel’s content on ikbis.com/atv.
The long awaited TV channel, will be reaching online audiences in Jordan and around the world on ikbis.com and will be frequently updating it’s online video presence with new programming. ATV is also studying the possibility of posting a daily 30 minute news bulletin online.
This, of course, is not meant as a replacement for “real” broadcasting on satellite and terrestrial channel, but as a complimentary service to its viewers.
So what can you watch right now on ATV’s ikbis channel?
The Yellow Tape: Investigative TV journalism comes to Jordan’s screens. In this episode: Medical errors in Jordan and the ambiguity surrounding Jordanian-Israeli trade relations.
Show Zaki: It’s the best Jordanian cooking show you’ve ever seen. Energetically presented.
Wow: Breakdancers on the streets of Amman. What young people can do to help their communities. A book review and a musical surprise ate the end of the show. Pretty cool stuff. Check out the the intro dong by Yazan Al Roussan.
A Story in a Paper: Have you heard about the Jordanian school-in-a-tent. This show takes you into the depth of the Jordanian desert to show you that school.
Check it out now..

Awesome
Wow. When will the normal one come out though?
By the way, the link is giving me an error.
This is a good step for Ikbis and ATV.
Good work
that is one massive piece of news ahmad! good stuff
I wish that they would go for online broadcasting 24 hours a day- 7 days a week- 365 days a year, even for a subscription fee it would still be worth it. They can do it independently or bundle themselves with the Jump TV group and offer a service for a nominal monthly subscription fee.
Looks really cool. I hope the channel will eventually go through in this refreshing format. I think it would be nothing less than a crime to deprive the Jordanian population of a decent voice like this that can properly represent us to the world.
This is a very innovative idea Ahmad. I have watched the programmes which bring another evidence of the lackluster mentality of the Audio Visual Commission. Again I think banning ATV is the biggest scandel in the history of Jordanian media freedom but I am also puzzled by ATV’s hesitance to go to court.
Great to find that ATV sorted something out. However, the commission owes JORDAN an explanation. This ambiguity is a major downfall to the country’s progression. ATV is claiming full compliance with regulatory requirements and nothing was communicated by the commission. Such attitude negatively affects the increasing level of confidence in Jordan and abroad.
Great news!
I am proud that such a thing is happening in Jordan now! and I am very glad (and not surprised) to know that you are behind it
however, I tried to access the link (ikbis.com/atv) but received an error message; I hope this is just a technical issue and that this feature was once again blocked somehow by the government offecials! please update us!
link is working just fine..
I think the last poll I saw in al-ghad said only 15% of us have internet access. Of those an even smaller percentage has high speed access, and almost all of those have a monthly bandwidth cap which knocks them down to near-dialup speeds when exceeded.
I’m getting an error on Ikbis that the user does not exist.
Never mind. Now the link is working correctly.
cool..
good thinking setting up an ATV channel on ikbis, 3ogbal other arab networks (like YoutTube’s pages for hundreds of channels incl BBC, CBS, NBC etc…)
oh one thing.. why can’t we comment on the ATV videos? And why can’t we see number of hits for the videos?
keep up the good work!
