SYNTAX developed the first corporate design for Javna, a leading mobile technology company in 2001. Back then, the firm consisted of a few developers who were working on the company’s first product, a multi-channel communication platform.
Over the years, SYNTAX’s work with Javna continued as the company evolved into a key player in the hot mobile technology arena. It has outgrown its original software focus and is now recognized as a company that delivers mobile media and technology solutions. Earlier this year we were called upon to help Javna evolve its brand and corporate design to reflect its position in the market and to reflect a new phase of growth for the company.
SYNTAX worked closely with Javna’s management to develop a new brand architecture. The company strength is derived both from its in-house developed technology platform and products as well as from its media offering and mobile operator relationships.
The new brand architecture, required the review of the entire product and service map of Javna, which now coherently reflects the company’s branding strategy.
On the corporate design level, a wide ranging visual update was performed. We evolved the original logo we designed five years ago, retaining the logo’s spirt of dynamism, expressed through a motif combining fluidity with a barcode-like pattern. But we also solidified the logo’s type and overall form to enable the company to use it more effectively to brand and co-brand mobile services.
We chose Cholla as the new corporate typeface for Javna and developed a new color scheme and illustration style. All these elements of corporate design are reflected across the company’s publications and website.
