From the look and feel of their placeholder site, they don’t sound to be much promising, nor does they sound to be targeting the consumer market segment with their GPS-based offering.
Scheming through the available pages (working links), they appear to offer an old service based on a vehicle-mounted box with a GPS receiver and some kind of a GSM or GPRS modem for communication.
I’m not sure about the in-car navigation they’ll be offering, but what really counts is the premium they’ll be charging and the price model for their service.
The doomed GPS-Jordan was offering the same stuff but couldn’t stay afloat. The only successful GPS-based service offering comes from XPress, and this is merely due to the fact that all of the handsets they sell is equipped with GPS.

With all respect, GPS solutions in Jordan are plenty and easy to apply but with some restrictions.
I have conducted a big research about GPS in jordan and would be happy to provide the results to anyone who is interested.
(The maps, the devices, the service, the costs, etc… )
You will be amazed by the quality of the products out there, even much better than XPress. (Except for the TRC annoying policies)

From the chart they have on their website, I can tell you that the concept is much different than what you’re expecting. (Not more than a University Graduation Project).
This one is very simple compared to the navigation system that depends on GDF Maps (Geographic Data Format), which we don’t have in Jordan.

I went to METS and saw a company saying they will provide GPS Device based on garmin, Mio and Navteq maps, also I saw GNav, well! it seems everyone is getting into the GPS market these days
GPS Is Technology, and Navteq and Garmin are number one in the world, GNav is home company, and I don’t know anything about WEYNHA, except if you look at their Screenshot map, its Map24.com, which is Navteq, so basically it’s obvious they will resell Navteq map with garmin or Mio also
I’m with GNav, and honestly, we are happy here to see this, that people start working and try to come up with a GPS For Jordan, competition is the key, and I think we will all win here, at least people and companies will start to think and come up with new ideas, and start to work on technology instead of importing everything, or at least I hope so.
wish the best to all people working on the GPS for Jordan, and hopefully this could be a start for real technological companies in Jordan, not just Import, Import and don’t think or try to be creative
