New Jordanian IT Strategy?

Aha.. So there’s some movement to ‘revive’ the Jordanian IT sector. HM The King has apparently asked for something to be done and the government is drawing up a plan. (Arabic link to Al-Ghad story today).

REACH is dead. Long live REACH?

A second initiative is needed, according to Government and Intaj officials, to put more life into the sector which everyone now admits has gone into a lull.

In case you missed my previous posts on the subject here they are again.

  1. Batir Wardam says:

I hope the next IT strategy will integrate the need for content development and social inclusion rather than being a private sector revenue oriented.

  2. The stratigies usually involve less important issues.

I bet my life on communities, if people understand IT, they should focus on that, and trust me, in few years the whole sector would develop like crazy.

    My 2 cents.
