I lost my iPod Shuffle in a public park in Frakfurt. That was a real bummer. I was wearing it aroud my neck. I think that it must have come off as I was carrying my youngest son. My sister-in-law pointed out that only the lanyard was around my neck and not the iPod itself. I searched for it but had no luck.
So here’s a little experiment. I’ve alway been quite lucky in getting stuff back. If anyone out there found an iPod Shuffle in Frankfurt’s Hausen area (in the ‘BuGa’ park), you know who to contact . It’s name is ‘Ahmad Humeid’s iPod’.
Thinking about lost iPods, it would be really cool if a lost or stolen iPod would ‘call home’ once it is connected to an iTunes that is not associated with it. Using the unique serial number and the fact that the user might have registered the device with Apple, this would be possible. I’ve seen a number of discussions about this on several sites.
