Google was talking about developing something like this for the Newspapers by the year 2015. The newspapers circulation is steadily declining and unless something that is technologiclly driven done about it, they will soon be extinct. As for the Magazines, I believe the answer is yes, paper magazines will become like the erstwhile eight track .
